T6.1 Footwell lights - keeping them on.

Evening all.

Just got a new T6.1 & while moving it across the yard with the rear door open, the interior footwell lights stayed on, and I liked it!!
No glare on the glass. Is there a way of keeping them on without driving with the door open?!

The only way you could do this is to connect them to the ambient lighting circuit instead of the courtesy circuit.

I added another set of lights to the ambient lights. There is a kit you can get from Travelin Lite that I wired into the ambient light circuit.

I was looking to do the same, got any pics or your install please?
Do they dim ok using the dash dimmer?

This is the only image I have, the lights can be changed between the red, blue or white options. It was very easy to do, they dim down with the rest of the dash perfectly.

Sorry I’ve only just seen your reply. Yes I did have to, I just trimmed out a section next to the existing light.
