I fitted a genuine westfalia detachable towbar and wiring kit to my 2022 6.1 when i first got it, never really used the towbar until recently and now found that disconnecting the trailer while the van is locked does not set off the alarm !
The trailer in question is a large modern car transporter, i understand that this function may not work with LED lamps and although the side marker lights are all LED the rear clusters are all filament lamps for side lights/brake lights/indicators/reverse/foglight
All lighting functions work perfectly on the trailer, i get the trailer symbol on the headunit when connected, the dash shows the extra indicator symbol and the foglight on the van is disabled when trailer is connected so as far as i can tell all other functions are working 100%
I have double checked all the coding and in particular looked at the 09BCM but dont see anything untoward there and not sure how to troubleshoot it ?
