T6.1 head unit removal

Has anyone removed the standard head unit on a T6.1. Any tips please, and is the aerial cable easily accessible? I'm having a lot of problems with the DAB since having some work done on the head unit, and want to investigate. I've had a shark fin fitted some time ago to improve the DAB reception, but think the recent work may have disturbed something.

Probably removed/disturbed the 12v power supply to the aerial.
I also have a T6.1 and the DAB reception seems rubbish, so want to fit a separate shark fin aerial. Do you have a link to what you used and the connections it has? Also, is it a combined fin that also does GPS and FM?

All I can say is it's a Shark Fin aerial from Skipton Car Radio, no idea if it's GPS as well. They fitted it, and a few months later installed a powered sub, and then I started to have problems with reception.
