T6.1 Hub - Spacers and longer bolts

Having fitted bigger tyres to my t6.1(Devonports)the rear wheels still seem a bit tucked in,15mm would be about right and H&R spacers seem the premium brand so I had a look at their website. Not wanting to go down the longer wheel bolts route the smallest ‘’bolt to the hub’’size is 21mm (part number 4275650) but the website says they don’t fit a t6.1?Wonder why this is and whether I’ll have to go up to 25mm.Anyone else know different?

As with all wheel spacers the bolt length has to be proportional to the with of the spacers. Ie you can’t use a wheel bolt that does not give the correct depth of fixing to the wheel hub. Try transporter HQ - they carry almost every size of spacers and bolts.

Don’t quote me on this but is it to do with the type approval?
The 21mm wheel spacer might not have TUV type approval for a T6.1 but still may fit on the vehicle ok?

That’s one way of attaching a spacer. Most seem to use longer bolts passing through the spacer. Either way better to use a recognised brand.

Spacers that bolt to the hub seem a bit safer in my mind, not to mention if you have to change a tyre by the roadside and mess around with longer bolts and a fiddly unfixed spacer

I would not imagine much difference in the safety aspect as both systems will be well over engineered. You can buy a wheel bolt alignment tool which helps fitting wheels with or without spacers.

15mm is the magic number if you want (similar spec) front and rear wheels to look the same.
At 7j et 56, Devonports are relatively narrow and have a large offset. You'd get away with a much thicker spacer without risking illegal tyre poke. There are members on the forum with 20, 25 and 30mm rear spacers on their Devonports who don't report any problems.

The 21mm H&R spacers on EBay seem to be ok for a T6.1
When I put the details in to see if they fitted my 2022 Caravelle T6.1 4motion they came up as suitable for my vehicle.

H&R we’re good enough to get back to me,seems 21mm won’t fit due to screws to fit onto the hub not compatible with t6.1

I have 30mm rear, 20mm front currently with my winter wheels which are Cascavalle so same specs as Davenport.

I always run bolt on spacers have done for many years. Worth mentioning you may have to cut down your original wheel bolts slightly on ~20mm spacers. Original bolts are pretty longer and may bottom out. I use aftermarket ones which are shorter.

Yes I’ll have to go with the 25mm size which are model specific( you show the correct t6.1 fitting)
t5 and t6 are different part number
Bit of a minefield I’m glad I did a bit of research it’d be easy to assume they all fit

Thanks for the link.
Not sure these would fit a T6.1 either.
On H&R website it says 5075650A are the correct 25mm spacers for a T6.1.
5075650 are for T6.

Correct 5075650 only fits t5 and t6

25mm spacers H&R 5075650A(silver)
Or
B5075650B(black)
Both fit t6.1

It took me while to get therebut the manufacturer was good enough to answer an email

Ok, so I wonder what the difference in the supplied bolts is?
It says the thread is the same.
Maybe the supplied bolt length is different?
