Thanks for the response. Just tried that and no extra options came up.

Im thinking the controller in my van (T6 MY18) may not have the ability to do the needle sweep??

Can anybody confirm my thoughts?

Its not coding its in the adaptions list

Maybe not !
Have you checked the adaptions list, it may give you the option there ?
 
This thread is for T6.1, you have a T6 and they are different.
Appreciate that.

I've tried searching for the info on a T6 specific thread with no luck. If anyone could point me to a one though it would be much appreciated.

I've done it today on my 2022 T6.1 without using the experimental mode.
worked perfectly....

Finally got around to doing this on my '22 plate T6.1. Here is the screenshot from the latest VCDS 24.7.0. It's now labelled much more clearly as 'Gauge Test/Needle Sweep (Staging) active'.

As mentioned previously by Tazmad, you won't see the effect until you remove the key from the ignition, re-insert and turn on the ignition.

Btw.. How did you got Bit2 Driver Information System (DIS) to active or in other words. What does this do?
