T6.1 puddle light install

Morning,

I have a T6.1 and I'm part way through installing the door card puddle lights. I followed the instructions which showed

+ve on red/white on the window motor which doesn't exist and is just white. This is the supply to the light via a relay.

-ve on black to the stud with the other -ve cables on the door

To drive the relay it requires a switched -ve which they've shown to brown on the door lock. Problem is the brown is a permanent -ve which leaves the lights on permanently. Other threads say connect to bk/bn on passenger and bk on drivers. The T6.1 doesn't have them and all the wiring to the door switch are white with 1 brown.

Has anyone any ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look through this thread, pretty sure that there was reference to different wiring configuration from the T6 to 6.1.

Hello Everyone, I was hoping someone could help. I bought Puddle lights from veedub transporters and the install guide must be for an older transporter because the colors of the cables don't match. Does anybody have an install guide I could use for wiring the lights into a t6.1? I have managed to get them on constantly using the white cable on the door loom.
