T6 alarm

I can't seem to set off the alarm , does any one know the best way to test if it's working ?

I managed to do it sat in the car, lock with a double press of the fob. Wait 30 secs then open door with a double pull of the internal handle.

Great that this has been brought up. I tried locking and the wiggling around and pulling and it wouldnt go off. Even locked but with the tailgate open and me climbing in and out won't set it off however with the window open and messing about it goes off.

@Scott do you have a highline ??
There are two different alarm systems that can be factory fitted, a highline has the full system with interior monitoring but there is also a more basic unit that functions a little differently

Jacked mine up a while back to get the wheel off, locked the van up whilst I popped into town to get the puncture fixed. Bolted it back into place and then whilst lowering it the dam alarm went off- -just at that moment when the tyre is taking the weight and your a little jumpy anyway ! To say I jumped a little is an understatement.

How does it monitor the interior? I cant see any obvious sensors.

Interior monitor sensor is in overhead console just behind map lights, has microphone for bluetooth next to it, theres a mesh/slotted bits in the plastic trim
If interior monitoring is present then you will have the switch low down on drivers B pillar to over ride it

I see. Can you see downsides to unplugging it whilst the roof lining is retrimmed over a few weeks and still using the van? Apart from interior monitoring not working.

thanks ,I bought van and then had converted and I don't remember seeing those options I just assumed it would have an audible alarm.it does have an immobiliser and safe locks fitted though.

On a French campsite this summer we managed to accidentally alarm the van during the night by rolling on to the keys. Oops! Alarm starts going off while we panic trying to find the keys and disarm it!

You can imagine we were popular the next morning
