Looking in the wiring diagrams for the brake light switch wiring it’s a four pin switch and can only find reference to three of them anyone got readings from thier switch for me
on the wiring diagram you see "F" as the brake light switch.
The blue/yellow line gives 12 V from fuse 16 in the fusebox "B".
The black/red line goes to computer "J519" wich gives, on his turn, a signal to the stoplights.
I don't know if the switch is open or close when the brakepedal is not pushed.
Cheers yeah I've seen that, there's a earth but also another wire can't remember colour can't think where it goes,I'm sure it's between switch and abs my issue but cheers for help
Can anyone tell me where I can find the brake light switch on a 2016 T6 diesel? Brake lights are not working and I think this is the first things to try.
I’m sure someone will know the exact place but I’d look up under the brake pedal arm under the dash. That’s where it is on my A4 and I guess the obvious place on most to sense the brake pedal movement.
Hi guys, I’m trying to replace the break light switch, I’ve stopped all around the break pedal but can’t see it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
