T6 CXHA oil filter housing

Hello,
I decided to change an oil today. Last time I had it done at the garage and decided to do it myself today. So there’s my problem:
I’ve taken oil filter and it was twisted. I watched videos on YouTube and spotted that inside the housing there’s is spring or something and in mine there isn’t. So should there be something?

If it is that squashed it looks like they have installed the wrong filter (or installed it incorrectly). Typically garages get the apprentices to do things like oil changes, so not surprising if it has not been done correctly.

Yeah, I think that there is something missing. A part that goes inside the filter.
