T6 Edition, BF Goodrich advice...

Hi,

I am thinking of getting some new tyres... I have standard 17" wheels I think they are Cascavel Black. I have a 40mm lower.

Would BF Goodrich fit on the van with the lower?
Has anyone used these tyres with the standard alloys?

Do they last longer that the 11k that the factory tyres gave me!!

Any advice would be appreciated!

Are you looking at a chunkier tyre?

What happened to your standard tyres as in wear?

How are you lowered?

Hi,

The front just wear fast, even wear but fast. Lowered with cobra springs, -40mm

Want something with a bit more grip for mountain roads, in winter, Also like the look, after coming from land rovers!

:)

Ok

I’d recommend a proper wheel alignment to begin with. And go for a 235/65/17. Which is the (over) size for a Swamper upgrade. Try a general grabber AT3

Thanks.

I've had the alignment fixed a few months go. I am not technical, but it was 'Straight' but the back too much in... so that got corrected then front set better... Then there was a long discussion about play in some from bushes... deal said it was normal, but a few independent guys insisted it was wrong.... after a stand off, WV replaced both bushes to 'keep me happy'.....

Magically it drove better!

Did you get these fitted in the end? i have an edition with Cascavels lowered on 40mm cobras and was thinking the same thing

If you want/need AT style tyres for the off-road grip that's one thing. You can expect to pay a price in terms of on road performance though, as you'd expect. The link below shows a group test of all season cars where they also include some General Grabber AT3 for comparison. Personally, based on the wet handling/braking test results alone, I wouldn't be happy running them if I didn't really need off-road ability above and beyond a decent all season tyre.

Yeah I definitely don’t need them and I’d be surprised if they didn’t cost me an arm and a leg tbh hahaha
