T6 Sound Deadening - remove the factory insulation?

Hi all - just starting off my sound deadening day for the T6 conversion. Removes the panels to find some small bits of factory fitted insulation.

Question is have people come across these before and if so should I leave them on and deaden/insulate around or remove them and the adhesive and go from scratch?

Yes, remove it IMO, it’s such a small amount and so ineffective it’s not worth trying to work around it.

I think i was being over zealous in my desire to have all surfaces spotless and clean before adding the silent coat.. after 15 minutes spent getting the first glue off the next one had a lot less effort put into it
