I've done a front end conversion and before I go through with the problem it's running transporter hq led rear light, side repeaters and there v1 led drl headlights.
Done the conversion and had no sidelights it was staying as drl all the time. Can't remember if it changed to side lights with main beam or stayed as drl as the van stood a few month.
Just got around to fitting resistors today that everyone mentions they fit and it solves there problem of the drl staying on.
So in the off position its drl
The sidelight position its still dril and doesn't dull
Then in main beam you can see the drl dulls down to a sidelight and then also puts the main lights on.
I checked the plugs to see what's live and when and it seems the drl pin 4 stays live in both off position and in sidelight position, in the sidelight position on the switch the sidelight pin 10 then goes live. Put the switch on main beam and the drl pin 4 drops its live and the rest work as they should. Is it right in thinking for some reason the drl is staying live in the sidelight position and it should be turning of to allow the sidelight to do its job?
And to add to that I'm not sure if it's related or not but had the bonnet shut and when switching to main beam the radio lost its signal, swap it back to drl or sidelights and the radio came back on, opened the bonnet and the radio worked no matter were the headlight switch was located.
