t6 won't start at random times

Have 2016 t6 that occasionally won't start. The starter motor dosent move so no sounds just turn the key and nothing.

It's not the battery as it's new and will start, drive for 3 hours then when trying to start 10 minutes later won't start.

Also does this when using jump. Leads or jump pack so jot a low power issue

This I think this also rules out glow plugs as a hot engine in summer has the issue.

Has anyone had something like this. I leaning to starter motor, starter motor solenoid or something electric that's intermittent.

Has anyone come across this?

Gunna take it to a garage but curios If anyone has ideas

starter motor, starter control wire or loose/corroded starter feed cable id imagine,

had similar years ago on a T5.1, wv had done some work and left the main starter feed cable loos-ish at the starter end. . . it took 6mnths for the corrosion to cause similar symptoms.

Basically, you need a volt meter to find out what the voltages are around the entire battery / cables / starter, grounds paths.
Then the guess work will be taken out of it!
BTW, glow plugs have nothing to do with a 'no crank' situation, either hot or cold.
