Looking To take out my 2+1 original kombi seats in my T6 ready for new floor and fitting rock ‘n’ roll bed. Any tips on getting underneath to remove the seat fixing bolts appreciated.

Make sure your fuel tank isn’t full cause you’ll need to drop it to get to some of the bolts

How full is ok? Ours will be done when we drop it at the converters ( currently have 3/4) of a tank and it’s not going as fast as it normally would with I stuck at home.

Each litre weighs 1kg, 3/4 of a 70lt tank and you are looking at 40/50kg to lower down under your van on a jack slopping around in a plastic tank.

You can lower the tank easily when nearly empty but would not want to do it 3/4 full. You will also need a short and long extension on your socket set to reach the bolts over the fuel tank.

Best you go for a long drive or Syphon out some fuel!

Thanks guys - all done - straightforward job as you say an empty tank is useful. Ended up with a sore neck from been under van for a few hours.
