I was GD, then RPU, promoted to skipper upon transfer, got my D's but went to Autocrime rather than the diddlely dee, a stretch in hi-tec crime, then my final year on CMU moving paper and getting fatter.
Tried for FSU just the once, but failed the nutter test. I did two tours of NI and never shot anyone that didnt deserve it, but hey ho. Strangely they were happy to let shoplifters, wife beaters, sex offenders, etc, join the gun monkeys though...

Sad news in North Yorkshire about the fatal Rtc involving a Police Officer.
Rosie was my best pal and dog walking foil. I helped her with her application in 2022 and mentored her from afar after we moved north. A great girl, stood up for her principals and had a great career ahead of her. She has a few trips in my old van and laughed at how I'd bought it at my retirement.
Rosie died helping others when she could have carried on. She leaves 2 young boys amongst others.
I'll be raising a glass to her tonight and invite you to do the same.

It is always so sad when one of our emergency services professionals loses their life in the call of duty. Many of us never face the same risks in our working lives, so we should be grateful for those that do.
