There are a good few people who have retrofitted rails or fitted aftermarket rails, and the challenges are common:
  1. Sourcing and fitting rails - see this thread: https://www.t6forum.com/threads/fitting-caravelle-seat-rails.1472/
  2. Sourcing and lugging seats into position.
  3. Raising the floor height to match - see this thread: https://www.t6forum.com/threads/guide-raising-the-floor-height-to-match-oem-rails.23889/
  4. Sourcing and fitting a floor, particularly as two/three piece floors are susceptible to flex when on top of a raised floor - see this thread: https://www.t6forum.com/threads/ply...erior-panels-roof-and-one-piece-floors.19412/
  5. Finishing the floor, including threshold choices to cab - e.g. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/team-karndean.25831/
Mine's not finished, so show me your rails!

Here's a photo of my side step.
To fill in the gaps where the small radius are I made some wooden blocks covered them in carpet then screwed them down underneath the step.View attachment 95363

I have Karndean American Oak with 5mm black strips to separate. I used, based on googling and asking a few LVT fitters, epoxy resin adhesive in the end - apparently it’s not be affected by low temperatures (which high temp can’t deal with, apparently) nor high temperatures.
It’s bonded to a single sheet of 12mm ply which itself is laid on a rubber Kombi floor. This brings it up to the correct height for the Cali rails.

A couple for starters...
