Terrible Job - Tailgate Tint

So I bought some precut tint for my kombi twin slider and the side windows went on like butter and look superb but as the tailgate window has a slightly curved glass it’s impossible to install without spider lines …..has anyone here managed to install the tailgate window tint on their own and what’s the secret ?

The pro guy we used shaped the tint with a heat gun from outside the van before applying it inside .

ahhh thanks, I tried using a heat gun but on the inside, it helped but not by enough ..any amateur here manage it or is it simply impossible as a beginner ?

Lots of videos on line. I was considering it for mine, but daughters said they didn’t want it to look like a ‘roadman’ car as they thought I would get bubbles in it!

Trick is to shape it on the outside first.

thanks they make it look so easy when in fact my film doesn’t really shrink like that, it goes more stiff and dry …either my tint is garbage and not designed to shrink or i’m $hit ..has anyone here had success shrinking theirs ?
