Three weeks ago I had a disaster and drove my 2019 T32 over both lumps of a pedestrian refuge in the centre of the road at 25mph. Result 2 ruined tyres, 2 ruined wheels and the right front wheel knocked back 40-50mm. The good news was that it still drove in a straight line, the steering self centred and it didn’t make any funny noises. After I stopped feeling sorry for myself I hit the forum.
Thanks to Lee at Ragster13 who provided 4 delivery mileage wheels and tyres as well as some LED cargo lights and arranged that I could pick them up from him with minimal fuel expense.
Thanks to Steve and the guys at CRS who fitted new suspension with a 50mm drop and a much smoother ride as well as telling me what parts needed replacing and identifying the twisting of the sub frame and the need for a special kind of alignment service.
Thanks to the guys at Bognor Motors who answered my help request for people who could carry out this type of repair and who gave me an appointment just 2 days after I called them.
And finally, thanks to all those who added to the ‘Roof Rail Leak Free Fixing’ thread. I used the threaded rodded and EPDM washer technique to fix the roof bars I have had sitting in a corner since I picked up the van from the dealer more than 3 years ago. With rails and crossbars fitted to my newly lowered van I now have 1mm to spare when I go into my local multi-storey car park (height restriction 2m) so no more standing in the car park of SELCO cutting timber lengths up to fit inside the van.
