Bought a lwb kombi for conversion to camperish day van. It's only me the Mrs and the dog so looking at best options for light touch for this year as we sus out what we actually want from it.
To let you know Mrs is 6 foot tall and I am 6'4" so a full width bed will be required! (The dog is an English pointer so isn't small either!)
For this reason so far i have insulated and sound deadened the rear, added seat swivels to the two front seats and put roof bars on.
I am intending to build a timber bed deck with pull out to give 6' of length to take an ikea memory foam mattress for this year and we will take out the rear seat when we camp as we don't need them for passengers.
All the above is reversible or hidden.
Thinking next stage if we get the bug (& I replenish the funds) would be electrics so we can asses the wiring before lining the van and getting any extra windows fitted!
Anything I have missed or people would suggest I change?
Open to advice as we are new to this.
