THQ or Travelinlite T6 rear lights - reviews

I know this has been posted about a lot..... but I am keen to understand peoples experience of the THQ or Travelinlite rear light options now they've been about a while - how durable are they? Any issues over time? How visible are the sequential indicators?

There two options I am considering...

VW Transporter T6 – Rear Lights – Sequential Indicator – LED – RHD – Tailgate – Red (I'm not that keen on their T6.1 style versions)
VW Transporter T6 - Rear Lights - Sequential Indicator - LED - RHD - Tailgate - Red

T6 Tailgate LED rear lights with dynamic indicator (T6.1 style) 2015 - 2019
T6 Tailgate LED rear lights with dynamic indicator (T6.1 style) 2015 - 2019

I am steering towards the Travelinlite options (once back in stock), but I worry that those indicators in daylight aren't very bright and there's a lot of extra wiring kit to go wrong/get water damaged!

I’ve had the Travelin Lite ones in black for 6 months and I love the look. They work well - no dash errors.

Thanks, I saw this, was just keen to hear from anyone who's been running them for a while, see how they are getting on and any feedback before I commit!

Travelinlite. Wiring is easy. Indicators are bright enough in their own right, but not as bright as the THQ super bright front wing indicators or Gbrite headlights that I also have, but that's both stiff competition.

Thanks @CarreraRSR that's good to know - loving the look of those Gbrite headlights!

The main difference is the THQ ones only have a single reverse and fog light, with the Travelinlite ones there is a crossbody loom and connections so you get 2 reverse lights, way better.
Very much agree with this.

I have had the Travelinlite ones for about a year and really pleased with them, they look more OEM when lit compared to the ones from THQ in my opinion

Hi, I’m in the same boat as the OP. Difference is that I’m looking at halogen to led from either Travelinlite or VeeDubs versions( mainly to get 2 reverse lights ) They look pretty much identical but there is about £70 difference in price. Any thoughts on the ones from VeeDubs by anyone who’s got them. The Travelinlite ones seem to be a popular choice ( but 70 quid more) and there’s a mod video on YouTube using them.cheers

If you look on Travelin lite clearance section they have one set left of the smoked version @ £250
PS Edit
Just fitted mine. They’re great!

I've had my Travelinlite rear lights fitted since May - super easy to fit, work and look great - dual led reverse lights are a game changer too. The only negative (as I feared) is that the indicators really aren't that bright in daylight, but I can live with that!

Unfortunately I don’t want the black version, it’s the red/ clear ones which I prefer, £325, just back in stock. Then I saw the VeeDubs ones which look identical tbh. £255, anyone fitted them ?

I’ve just looked thru all pics on the VeeDubTransporters site.
They do indeed look the same, as I’ve just made the excuse to go check mine in the dark!
I also looked at their fitting instructions and found they don’t show or mention the link cable to enable reverse and fog lights on both sides.
It may be worth enquiring?

Yes, I called to ask this morning and was told that if you select for halogen replacement on the drop down box, this is supplied with the link loom to enable both sides for reverse.
On close inspection of the pics, they do look identical. Lots of folk with feedback on the Travelinlite ones but haven’t found anyone who has had these from VeeDubs.

Yes, a little strange.
Maybe they’re only recently supplying them?
Travelin lite site says theirs are unique to them. Perhaps not any more.
Even the stickers on the adapter cables look identical.
Hopefully someone with experience of VeeDubs’ versions will happen along soon.
I noticed earlier that with mine now fitted my reverse camera view is far improved.

I’ll report back when I get them fitted ( and hopefully be able to see when reversing in the dark ),just ordered the Vee Dub ones, thanks all for the input .

Ok, for any folk interested, just taken delivery of the rear lights from VeeDub Transporters. And after scrutinising closely photos of the ones on Travelinlite, I can 99% confirm that these are the same ( even down to the details on the back and cables supplied to enable double reverse lights, just a good 70 quid cheaper).Let you know how they are after installation .

Installation quite easy, all went smoothly. Look great and the lord said….”let there be 2 reverse lights !” Super bright, think I’ll drive backwards everywhere now as the reverse lights are way better than the standard H4’s up front.
