Ticking/clicking under acceleration

Hello! I recently bought a T6, had it about a month now and I’ve noticed a ticking noise when driving and under acceleration.
Noise goes when I dip the clutch travelling at speed, but then comes back when I re-engage. It’s 150bhp 68plate with 84k miles.. anyone had similar noise?

My T6 is the same.
Do you get some black smoke on start up ?
Then more black smoke accelerating hard above 3000rpm?
You wouldn’t notice any smoke driving it normally only when ringing its neck.
My mechanic has told me it’s a faulty injector. That’s what’s ticking and causing a fuelling issue above 3000rpm.
My T6 is going into the garage when they open up next year.
Mechanic has a device that checks each injector to find the faulty one.
Have been told injectors aren’t cheap but my warranty should take care of it.

I’ve not noticed any black smoke I have to admit, I’ll keep an eye out for that cheers
does yours smoke on every startup or intermittently? Mines due for a cambelt change so will ask when I take it in to the garage in the new year too

Mine has ticked since I bought it last year and I never noticed any smoke until this year.
It smokes worse on start up if I’ve not used it in a week or 2.
Yeh I would ask your mechanic to check the injectors.

Depending on the sort of tick it is, a slight exhaust leak forced out of a small manifold, turbo or egr crack can sound like a ticking noise under load. Worth a look for any sooty witness marks and a good sniff for any fumes especially when starting cold.
