Any professional tiler’s out there…. or plumber’s/builder’s that regularly do tiling jobs??

I’m after some impartial advice with regards to Anti Fracture/uncoupling/decoupling matting?

Is it something that those of you in the know would definitely recommend, or something that you consider unnecessary??

Any opinions or advice greatly appreciated?

Cheers, Matt

You mean like Schluter Ditra or Mapei Mapeguard UM?
They certainly reduce the risk of cracking joints on floors where the underlying surface is not perfectly stable or at risk of movement.

It depends on size of floor and substrate whether you’re having underfloor heating. me personally I’d use it. Makes for a better system, some jobs can’t have it as it raises the floor 6mm with adhesive.
