Tips for a (slightly nervous) new t6 conversion owner ?

We picked up our new conversion last week, and are going on out first weekend away this Friday.
I’m looking for any and all tips and hints for a new owner. Do’s and Dont’s that kind of thing,
We are complete novices so any and all info will be greatfuly received. Thanks in advance

My tip is ensure that you know how your battery chargers/power supply works and how to monitor it's use.
So many people with the Sargent type units set them to the wrong charge setting and the battery goes flat. Do that a couple of times and your battery is toast uless its lifepo4.
Understand whether your 240V sockets work on EHU only.
Do all that before you go away in the van and the trip will be a lot less stressful.

If you have any cupboards that get blocked by the bed being folded out then don’t store your coffee in those. You’ll wake up, be disappointed you can’t have a good coffee in bed, and then be grouchy (apparently).

Make sure you remember to pack everything away before you drive home.

Don't forget to unplug the EHU etc

Camp on the drive for the weekend and make sure you have it all sussed before going anywhere.

If you are male 100% an empty lenor bottle for the middle of the night after a few beers.
No more freezing your bollocks off at the nearest bush.
If you’re not male take one for your hubby

Park next to another T6 (or walk past some) - stop and chat - we all like to chat vans and share experiences. No T6’s no problem anyone in a van or motorhome will be the same.

That’s so true. We pitched up next to one of the lizard people a Transit owner and he was a great neighbour for four days.

I would have no hesitation in pitching up at Bala this year next to Clive in his Bright orange Transit, if, like last year we got there after everyone else again! Guy is a gentleman, albeit from Wales! Lovely guy!

If you have a RIB bed, be prepared for it to be more uncomfortable than you’d expect for their price. Mattress toppers are your friend.

Fill it full of stuff, give it a couple of trips out, then take it all back out and store in the spare bedroom.

I always fit my Stoplock Pro first when I park up, and always check the van before removing it before heading home.
