Top of dash 12v socket to dual USB

Anyone swapped the 12V socket on the top of the dash (centre) to a dual USB? Wondered how easy to access to do the job?

Seen a few people do this.

The hardest part is getting the OEM socket out in the first place.

The existing socket has a short wire and conector plug.

Just be mindful that USB power chargers use power all the time, so it's not recommended to connect to the starter battery feed without a switch.

Or, use an ignition feed.

Or, use a leisure battery feed.

I have a blank with no wires Dell. How tricky is it to feed the wires down to the fuses near the gearbox?
