Touch Screen T6 2016 replacement- help needed, please.
Our 2016 T6 has a dodgy screen and it works to some degree, but mostly have to poke around for ages to get it to work or change.
Should have added, is there an upgrade with a map option? Would love that.

Is it easy to replace yourself? Thanks.

I've just done this to my van today, you can buy a new digitiser on ebay or amazon for between £15 and £40 to swap out the original one or simply place in front of the original one inside the headunit housing, took me 30 mins max and i'm not great at doing stuff like this. My one froze all the time and half the screen didn't recognise the touch anymore and now it's like new

OK, pulled the entire unit out and realized I have the wrong size replacement screen. I am thinking of replacing the entire unit. My husband said replacing the entire huge unit is cheap as people are getting rid of them and upgrading to Sat Nav-

I am thinking of replacing this part only- attached photos. Not only the screen like you suggested.

Hi, I’ve got the same screen issue as mentioned in the thread on a stereo on 18 plate T6. Can anyone confirm the head unit I have from the picture. It’s a non-sat nav with Bluetooth and DAB if that helps. I’ve emailed a few eBay sellers but they want to know if it’s MIB STD2. If it’s not does anyone know what it is and where to get a screen. Thanks for any advice in advance!

I just did the touch matrix replacement. £9.79 off eBay from UK supplier. Probably took about two hours in all.

Units from Skoda are the same. You buy from same supplier for a VW £25, buy for Skoda.

A little patience, dexterity is called for. Hardest parts are getting plugs/clips off back of radio (Beware locking caps will come off and drop down behind fascia), replacing fascia (due to cig lighter) at end. And care needed for ribbon cable connectors between PCB and display/touch matrix.

Thanks, what size screen is yours. I noticed yours is the SAT NAV model. I’ve got the basic DAB / Bluetooth head unit. I’ve looked at a few on eBay but all I’ve seen so far are for the larger 6.5 screen rather than the smaller size. Thanks.

Sorry mine is the larger one. Lots on eBay. You could dismantle as far as being abe to flip and get the part number off the reverse of the display.

Google is your friend (not sure about that )

When I was looking on the model number sticker on side of unit. One sees that many of the Skoda, seat units have very similar numbers. But really I would not rely on that. Strip it down and get individual part number off the display. But bear in mind this is for the combined display and touch matrix (I think).
