Tow bar wiring colours

Struggle to fix tow bar cabeling. It seems not to folow any iso standarts, previous owner mesed up with wiring and i have no rear left light.

It's not quite clear what you're asking here, is there something forum members could help with?

If you are asking what the OEM standard colours are van side then the wiring diagrams are available with VIP Membership, details of which generation your van is would help direct you to the right one.

However many vans are fitted with aftermarket towbar modules that may follow their own standards so find out what is fitted is usually the best start.

This car has standart tow bar from dealer ship and i m looking for van side wiring colours, i gues i m stuck now without VIP. Or i ll try to ask vw to share diagram, thank you for reply.

Without details of which generation you are looking it's harder to help.

Both need VIP membership to support forum running costs which isn't much.

One other thing to consider is that you mention that the problem is the right side light circuit, usually pin 5. If the van has been configured for Australia this pin is used for electric brakes. If you find +12v on this pin with the brake pedal pressed you may be looking at a coding fault, not a wiring fault.

My towbar and electrics is the factory fit westfalia setup and I had to replace the 13 pin socket last year.

The wiring was as per any of the images available on the internet. So pin 7 is the left tail light and should be a solid black wire.
