Towbar Fitting & Side Assist?

Hi All, (sorry for all the questions I'm about to ask)

I'm going to purchase a westfalia removable tower from PF Jones and will be getting it fitted next week.

One question is....could the side scan option on my van cause the fitter any issues with the coding? It is a pretty rare option on kombi's and most fitters I've spoken to say "they should be able to get it sorted"!

Also.....I asked for factory tow bar preparation, so does the following kit look right to you? Will I need anything else?

Someone mentioned I may need a reinforcing plate of the bumper, which will need to be ordered from either VW or TPS?

Hello. I have side scan and towbar on my van. The coding should be correct that when the towbar is fitted, it turns the sidescan off.

Factory. But whoever fits your will need to code it correctly, so this should take care of the sidescan

So.......does anyone know if the coding will be pretty simple for a person that "in theory" should know what they are doing?

I don't think they will have any problems, you basically only tell the van a towbar is there and the van takes care of the rest ie disables rear park sensors/relocates fog to trailer/displays on radio when in reverse etc etc these don't get coded individually but are a consequence of coding in a towbar
