Transporter HQ dash trim

I recently received my front window rubber dash trim from Transporter HQ.

Are your supposed to trim it on the ends to fit or should it be made to fit straight on? Anyone else got one?

And secondly, should it sit flush? It seems to not on the ends.

A very popular and cheap / quick upgrade.

Trim it to length, but also angle the cut slightly to help it fit better / look neater at the edges. Will try to photograph ours in the morning.

Don't forget to rub alcohol on the window and behind it so it sticks well. I did cut one of mine wrong and had to get another, I was mighty annoyed.

(Edit: I misread, thought this was the external window trim. My comment relates to that).

What about near the edge? Did it sit flush all along the window?

I mitred mine where it butts against the dash/window/a pillar

Must admit wish I'd mitred mine a bit more but even just trimming it square and giving it a good shove works well enough and it's visually not obtrusive.

Give it a few days in place with the sun and it should lay flatter at the ends.

It’s only to stop stuff sliding down behind the dash and even if your 10mm short both sides who’s gonna notice!
