Transporter metallic squeal from engine

Hi my transporter started making a metallic squealing sound on acceleration it stopped when clutch was pressed down also the clutch pedal didn’t come back up once, all signs where flywheel and clutch but had them replaced and there’s still a horrible squeal on acceleration but this time I struggled to get it in gear had to use force to get it in gear then worked ok after that, does anyone have any ideas what’s happening has the new flywheel clutch kit been fitted wrong or is it something else thanks in advance for your help cheers Steve

There is very likely something amiss with, or closely related to, the work you've had done. Take it back.

Can you get a video clip of it.

It's very faint. But does sound odd.

Almost gearbox or diff whine.

Can you get a better clip?

Cable tie the p phone in the engine bay for a better clip?

If it manual?

No straight after work was done took it out and all sounded pretty similar and had trouble to get it in gear again think it was the gearbox from the start currently looking for maybe a second hand gearbox or reconditioned one struggling to find my exact gearbox code anyone know the best way to get the exact code there’s quite a few options for my year and engine size also what would you recommend doing about the gearbox that’s most cost efficient thanks steve

First thing I'd do is check if there's any oil in the gearbox. Then have a look at the oil that comes out to see if there's signs of bearings disintegrating. If oil looks OK, is there enough? Maybe flush it through with some ATF first but definitely put new oil in, run it and see if that fixes the issue, that is the cheapest first step.
