Transporting the Porta Potti from A-B on site

Hi my friends on the Forum: and now the difficult area: I have this in my van and it matches the leather seats: do I use a forklift to move from A-B to empty it? Is there a protocol when moving it? I.e. don’t make eye contact with the person pulling his poo to the poo dump. Any suggestions as to which trolley to buy to move it. Do I need a discreet cover to go over the top? What are the rules ?

That is just the box in which the porta loo resides.
the actual Porta splits into two halves, the top is the seat and fresh water tank, the lower is the waste.
So when the lower is getting full you just split the two parts to separate and then saunter with the bottom part like a posh businessman with an executive briefcase to the dump area.
if there is a queue then you just chat aimlessly about the weather etc avoiding all eye contact with the executive briefcase.
If the top part requires more fresh water then just fill it in situ with a kettle/bucket.
Top tip - when you unscrew the large plastic cap to pour out the waste put it on the floor, you will be amazed how many people drop it down the drain never to be seen again.

I found the first trip to the disposal point was the worst almost like a walk of shame
But then you realise everybody does it
Just make sure you leave the disposal point clean and dont let it get to full and heavy to lift

Got it  many thanks. Practicing my saunter as we speak.

Remember (depending on the model) the top tank has more capacity than the bottom tank, emptying is not fun but empty often or you’ll be in a world of sh!t, quite literally!! And gloves are definitely required even to fill a clean potti as the blue stuff stains and you don’t want to be in the blue hand gang!

Good point well made.

More and more sites are banning the blue loo as it is not environmentally friendly.
you can get a Green coloured one now which is organic- so you look like Kermit
Or........another top tip.....use a biological washing tablet which seem to do the job (yet another unintended pun).

Not environmentally friendly is generally how I would describe our loo!
