Trim Identification Help!

Hi Team..

I'm trying to find out what the VW product code is for this piece of T6.1 Cab Trim

Apparently the code can be found printed on the back of it... But that means removing it (attempting to anyway) and trying not to break it..

Which I almost certainly will do

I have one off the vehicle and am away at moment however the black one I think is 7L2857200AOZS so using that you should be able to get to the grey one on something like LLLP parts of vw van parts direct. NOTE: when i went grey to black I had to split mine as the heater controls on my model are a different shape than those that have the black unit.

It comes as one unit combined with the surround for the heater controls glued to it. It is not a standalone piece of light grey plastic.

Ah ok it’s the big behind the knob which differs.

You can see my standard Grey one had some “extensions” around centre knob but the black replacement didn’t.

So I had to split it apart with a dremel to use my standard Matt black with the new anthracite trim.

Do you still have this piece floating around off the vehicle? I'd be interested to know if there's any ID number/code printed on it?

That’s all the numbers on it. It’s all hidden when put together so my gut reaction is it’s not buyable on its own.

Yeh I really have had amazing customer service from there. Nothing seems too much trouble and if they dont have it on the site, they find the details, get it added on the stie then you can order online etc. Sometimes they are cheaper than TPS however not always the case but they deliver and save me a 40 mile round trip to collect or a 20mile trip to collect from my mates bodyshop.

I used them to supply all my lower dash black panels as I didn't want the brushed or other effects that you get in the Velles.
