Triple Bench Underseat Storage solution

My kombi has a tripple rear bench seat, and there is a huge amount of space under it that is unused.

In last years trip I used a couple of storage tubs to put things in, which was ok, but not great.

I was confident I could come up with something better, and started looking for suitable containers that would fit under there.

Screwfix are selling plastic Stanley toolboxes for £10 each and they fit under the seat a treat.

However, I also noticed that tgey are the perfect width to fit between the end of the seats base frame and the closed side liad door.

I set about making a couple of, 'boxes', to accommodate the toolboxes aswell as a couple of small, pull along hand luggage bags from Sports Direct. (these were also £10 each).

I'm really pleased with the result.

The toolboxes fit perfectly and I cut two slots in the base of the boxes for the case's wheels to drop into, which help it stay put.

Nice idea, looks good.

My Kombi also has the triple rear seat and a Fortywinks sleep platform in the back. Means loads of wasted space underneath. So I made this drawer to make it more accessible. Its bolted to the Fortywinks frame and the small pockets to the rear with the lower profile sides are accessible from the sliding doors.
