I am due to collect my Kombi in 2 weeks After an 8 month wait. The company I have ordered it from are doing a lot of work to get it looking just how I want it... leather, limo tint, chrome side bars, roof bars, 20” Bola XTRs....
They have offered to remap my petrol 204 DSG to the stage 1 pendle map (304) FOC. I can’t decide if I should accept the offer or wait until I have lived with my van “stock” for a while first. Obliviously I know I will invalidate my warranty which is a big concern.

Remap it. Mine is I had no issues with warranty repairs when I told them it was remapped.

Yes and I know if I drive it I’ll want it done but the warranty problem scares me

Would it be worth checking the warranty with dealer or wherever the van came from?

Could they out the FOC Remap on an IOU. Save it for a rainy day.

My advice would be to drive it stock for 1000 miles to settle everything in and make sure no problems comes to light, you can also bed the brakes in etc. Once youve put a few miles under the belt then map it, when it goes into the dealer get a full stock re-flash done
