Tyre load rating

I'm really struggling to work out this tyre load rating thing and whether the load rating of 103 is good enough for a 2015 T5.1 LWB T30.

Plate in the engine compartment says:
1575kg
1625kg

Would love to fit some Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tyres, but worried I'll invalidate insurance.

Any help much appreciated!

103 is fine for a T30.

I'm shooting from the hip here, but I think 101 load rating is ok.

Your maximum axle load is 1625kg and 101 is 825kg so times 2 equals 1650kg.

There is another label in the door frame that shows the range of tyres used on your particular vehicle. I’m on 101s on my T30 SWB.

The load rating of the tyre in Kg needs to be greater than half of 1625, so 812.5kg. You select the biggest axle weight as you wouldnt fit different rated tyres on different axles.

Thanks both for the help. I had also read somewhere amongst the many threads on this topic that you should add a percentage on top of the "half the axle load" to cope with non centered loads etc. One of my local tyre dealers also told me I needed 106. Hence why I'm confused. Does anyone know if the list in the link above is a definitive from VW or even if there is such a thing?

Thanks Ian. That other sticker doesn't seem to help unfortunately as I'm looking at different profiles. Most info so far is pointing towards 103 being fine, but I want to be as sure as possible I'm not voiding insurance as that could be a disaster!

These would be the same guys that can't even take your wheel off and change a tyre without damaging it.

Ha yeah. On the other hand these guys are 4x4 specialists who race defenders so I gave their views a little more weight than if I'd been talking to someone from kwik fit. He took my reg before giving me the 106 rating - I should have had the nous to ask him which system he was getting the data from...but didn't!
