Tyre size for running 20inch wheels on a t32 with 50mm lowered suspension

Van is booked into get suspension fitted van slam coilover and the need to decide on ride height, 40-70mm drop is avalible

having seen a few vans on here I’m thinking about 50mm

Tyres fitted are 275/40r20
Wheels are 8.5j all round

So if I swap to 265/40r20, i should be good ?
Or would I need to go 245/40r20

No idea as you don’t mention offset which plays a massive part in how the wheel sits in the arch.

One things for sure though, you’ll have the best chance on a 245 tyre and a better driving experience. 40 or 45 profile is entirely your choice. 45 will give same wall height as your current setup and slightly more rim protection when bumping up curbs at a good angle. 40 may feel a little bit harder on the road depending on how good or bad the suspension setup is.

Thanks for the reply, offset is et42

I'm about that low with 265 40 20. Remove the arch screws and you will be fine. I got some rubbing on 9in et45 but basically none now.
