Underslung CAK Sill Tank pipe routing

For those that have installed the underslung CAK sill tank, what route did you take for the 40mm filler hose and the water pump?

I would like to install my water filler cap on the panel between the B pillar and the C pillar such as in the below example.

I had them install the 40mm filler at the front. After three goes they managed to get it where I asked them. My filler pipe runs forward to be filled under the bonnet. The supply pipe runs through an existing hole in the sill in front of the C pillar, and into the van behind the pillar.

Photos of my installation here

I found the photo of the second attempt from CAK. X marks the spot of where it should go.

And you might have a load restraint bolt - this needs to come out, and then you can remove the nut as well. The tank will now fit.

I would also recommend having the straps they send you powder coated, as they are just mild steel.

Thanks so much, thats all very useful information - As for the load restraint bolt, how does that come out? unscrew or angle grinder?

Unbolt the eyebolt from inside the van. The nut is held on by that pop-rivet behind my screwdriver- drill the rivet out.

Oh I see, I think I took them all out when I was prepping the floor, but I'll have a look under tomorrow - thanks again

I have put a few of these in and dont use that fill method, i just put a hose pipe on then run it up through the engine bay finishing by the battery with a hose fitting on. then when i fill the tank i just connect hosepipe and pressure fill from tap.
I do this with all the fresh tanks under van.
infact on my latest conversion LWB 6.1 4mo i had a square tank made (about 30l) which fits roughly where the front skirt tank would be, i sized it so it fits under the underbody trim so you dont need to cut holes in it - I use this tank as my waste water tank from sink.
For fresh i have a square tank that fits where the add blue tank would be again about 30l and then the spare wheel tank of 68l, there is also space for a tank behind the fuel tank if you want more. i fill them all with the hosepipe method.

I like the idea of just a plain tank behind the undertray, much easier and neater to install. I guess the benefit of your filler method is it can use a thinner pipe, easier to route up into the front.

Yep and you dont have to start drilling and fitting filler pipes into side of van - and you still have to use a hose to fill it!

If not like suggested above, how about placing the filler on the drivers’ step? No cutting bodywork, then.

your filling through gravity and not a lot of head height, and besides the top of tank will be a little higher than top of tank so will never fill right up.

Some pics of my tank setup.
I have 2 fresh tanks, One where adblu tank would be is about 30l and insulated (winter tank) then the spare wheel tank. pump is behind the fuel tank (i have LWB) the tanks are fed individually to a couple of valves in the O/S side door foot well, here i can select winter or summer tank. also a valve for shower/wash down hose. Adblu water tank covered by under body armour, Tank in the driver side is where a skirt tank would go, but you have to cut underbody trim to fit it in, so i made one that fits under the trim without cutting it. its about 30 l and this is waste water tank from sink. all tanks have monitors.
Tanks are filled individually with hosepipe that i have taken up into engine bay.
Been in NZ where back country rivers are drinkable, i have a portable pump i can connect to fill tanks from a stream.

With the CAK tank in front of the spare wheel can you get the under tray back on? If not what mods are needed?
