Hello all,

Booked in with well reviewed Liverpool VW van centre for spring upgrade from 28-30, as a low cost initial intervention for ‘saggy bum’.

Dealer has asked this….

‘I’ve noted that there is a factory software update outstanding for the EGR system on your vehicle.

Do you have an objection to having this installed? It is free of charge.

Some van owners decline this when they have had tuning/non factory software modifications carried out.’

Any guidance? I’ve had no mapping etc done on van, don’t think previous owners did anything like this either?!

Thank I’m advance,
Chris

Interested in knowing which garage in Liverpool this is and what your experiences are after being? Not far from me. Thanks.

I’d already had a convo with CRS on here, very clearly very very good and knowledgable. The ‘sag’ issue isn’t extreme, hence the budget friendly options first.

This is the official VW van centre liverpool. Will report back when I know more!

I would have throught CRS was much more budget friendly to change just springs. I know they usually recommend shock change too but they have huge range of springs if you wanted just that. Main dealer fitting cost will be much higher!

Upgrading springs to sort saggy bum syndrome usually ends in disaster , if you do it ask them to ONLY fit the front springs you will probably get a result . If they fit the rear you will have a lower van with a saggy rear end again
