Upgrading front speakers in my T6.1

I'm looking at options to upgrade the door speakers and tweeters in my T6.1 with Discover Media head unit.
From a brief search it seems my options are either Alpine SPC-106T61 or Gladen One T6.1 Appearance.
I have no intention of fitting a sub (or even an amplifier) so based on that would there be any reason to opt for the more expensive Gladens over the Alpines?

Whilst at it I'll be putting in some DeadN sheets on the door skin (where I can get them!). Any other materials recommended? Anything on the rear of the door cards?

Thanks for any help and advice.

I fitted the Alpines SPC106T61 set. Easy to do. Instructions show you everything and there are some you tube vids also.

Sound is great compared to the stock speakers and I got a great deal when I bought mine from fleabay. Plus the A-pillar speakers look fab.
Also added dodo mat to the door skin. And the egg shell acoustic foam to the door card and it has made a massive difference

Personally the Gladens are smoother in the treble, and better mid bass, and really come alive with a small amp .

Just adding sound deadening to the doors will improve stock speaker setup

I fitted the Gladen kit last week. They do sound great. If they are worth it over the Alpines, I can't comment as I've never heard them. But going by the general consensus, I'd say they are the better kit.

If I'm being honest, my ears probably aren't good enough to hear the difference between the 2 anyway! Haha I only opted for the Gladens as I managed to get them for almost the same amount as the Alpines.

Thanks all. Our van is currently in for a conversion so will more than likely opt for the Gladens when we get it back in a couple of weeks. Appreciate all the feedback

Don’t YouTube posters make these things look easy! Fitted the speaker kit today but took me longer than expected. I did do triple sound deadening as well but a night and day difference to the standard speakers. I now have bass!

Haha, always the case!
Glad you’ve confirmed the difference. Looking forward to getting some and fitting them

Is that just from the gladen speaker upgrade or did you add an amp and subs too?

Just the speakers for now. I’m sure it would benefit from the additions you mention but I’m not technical enough to do wiring and have swivel captains seats so not sure how it works if you have these seat fittings

Hi, where did you get the good priced deal from please ?

I got mine from CEN, forgot I’d added them to my basket and a few days later was offered a discounted price. Not a massive discount but every little helps
