Upgrading T6 to T6.1 halogen tail lights (tailgate)

Hi,

Looking to replace my 2018 T6 rear lights (halogen) with OEM T6.1 rear lights (halogen), does anyone know if it’s a straight swap (e.g. matching connectors, no coding etc…)?

I’m not looking for the LED conversion just a straight swap if possible.

Anyone have experience/knowledge? Tried searching but all focused on the LED upgrades.

I changed mine to t6.1 bought them from travelinlite they come with a pin tool and instructions which wires to change over really easy to do. I should still have the instructions if your just buying the lights let me know I’ll send an image over

Hi I've seen some T6.1 tailgate lights that I'd like to fit to my T6 2018 does anyone know if they are a straight swap or is there some pins that need changing over ? does anyone have annoying diagrams I could follow? Thank you.

The job is relatively easy, just a case of unpinning and re pinning your wires if your on standard lights

AFAIK the connectors are the same across the T6 and T6.1:

Are your cables colours and connectors different to those links in post #8? Post up a pic of your wiring and connectors if your lights aren’t working
