Saw this today and thought I'd flag it up for you tradesmen.

VanCam HD Anti Vandal CCTV Standalone Camera and Recorder 1080P

VanCam HD - Anti Vandal CCTV PIR Camera and Recorder - Battery or Mains Operated

With van break-ins and the theft of tools becoming an increasing problem for tradesmen, ESP is confident that two new additions to its Essentials range of security products will prove to be very popular and help provide some peace of mind.

Specifically designed with the theft of vans and tools in mind, the VanCam is supplied with a steel, vandal-resistant casing to provide added protection and security and ultimately to prevent theft of the system or the removal of the SD storage card.
The metal casing which retains the CanCam is locked in place using security screws which are operated using the special tool that is supplied with the product.

Good find.
I’ve been done over 3 times this year, unfortunately the police seem to have their hands tied.
We had cctv footage, vehicle identification, fingerprints and even a mobile phone dropped by an escaping thief. No prosecutions.

What the hell else do they need?! That’s crazy.

They don't have time due to the cuts and have to keep turning up to bike meets for much more important things like slightly undersized number plates and loud exhausts.

Yep, my lad lost 2 bikes less than a month old each time. Battery powered angle grinder makes short work of even a £200 Thatcham approved chain and lock. Full CCTV coverage on both occasions and the cops did nothing. The second theft was actually witnessed by an off duty cop and all he did was phone the hotel where it was nicked from and asked them if they knew about it!!! We actually had our storage units at the workshop broken into last night. The only thing stolen were some cheap tat and a couple of bottles of Proseco. But, because it is council managed property and one of the units is used by Yodel the place is crawling with cops taking statements and SOCO looking for forensics.
Only large commercial interests get the attention of Police these days so I wouldn't waste money on CCTV any more unless you're a high roller!
