Vanshades pods or pod panels?

Has anyone tried the pod panels and do they seem a better solution than the window pods? I'd rather not drill stuff in really but not seen another solution as yet.

I’ve spent a number of years using thermal suction blinds, and thinking about Vanshades. I was going to get curtains and then someone recommended Vanshades…I’ve had them installed and absolutely love them. The team at @Vanshades are also totally ace. Try not to worry about drilling to install them…you can’t see it once they’re installed at the end of the day…

Hi I came across this post, I wanted something for a bit of privacy at the rear quarter of my Kombi. I have a tailgate with wiper motor and am really struggling to find something more robust than suction cups and thermal blinds. Vanshades appear to be the answer but can’t accept big holes being drilled into my brand new van. Is there an alternative solution?

I saw someone on Facebook producing pods that looked like vanshades but used strong magnets, so they were easily removable.

Tailored Van Blinds based in Blackpool.

Hi, I'm probably a bit late to the party and I'm not saying these are better than Window pods, but they work well for me. I have one on each side window made out of 6mm 3-ply. The OS panel sits in a carpeted void and the sliding door one sits just on bare metal as I don't see any point in carpeting the door. I thought it might be of interest because they are held in by Neodymium magnets as was suggested earlier. This revised panel (below) was made over the last 2 days and they are removable in seconds.

Thanks for the thumbs up - I should mention, the glass side of the panels are painted matt black to give that 99% light block from outside. They are so dark it looks like fake glass. The other thing I do in the heat of summer is slip reflectix type panels in-between to reduce the internal temp but this makes them slightly visible though.

Can you expand a bit on how the magnets are fixing down the panel, which magnets did you use?
