Can anyone help. I am struggling to find any suppliers of lightweight furniture board in Scotland. I'm not too fused who manufactures it but don't really want to get it delivered from down south due to cost and potential for damage.

Thanks

Northshore Conversions in County Durham is closest I've found to Scotland, for the supply of lightweight vaneered ply. Not local but drivable in a day. @superchargedpolo, maybe drop me a PM. From time to time I travel betwee Fife and East Anglia on the A1 so could maybe assist with the Stanley to Fife leg of transporting wood north. Save at least some of your trip from Grampian.

Still seem to be banging my head against a brick wall. Can't get hold of North Shore Customs and can't find anyone else who is remotely close to me. I don't mind travelling. Does anyone know of stockists in North England? Thanks

Yes and no. I now make my own panels using Egger laminate and garnica plywood. Time consuming but means you can have any colour you want.
There are lots of converters in Scotland now. I'm sure one of them will sell you some material.

That’s interesting.
Thought about making my own but don’t have much space to hand.
You using a veneer press or just laminating them up with weights?
I have thought it would be a good way to incorporate real wood features along with laminate in the high wear areas.

James Latham don’t sell light weight laminated board. They do sell egger laminate and poplar plywood. That’s who I use to make up my boards

Not much information on their website about the boards. On eBay there is an ad for the boards with a wider range of colours.
Might get in touch for a sample. The pricing is not so far away from Morland but of course it's much closer for collection.
