VW Passat W8 overhead lighting module

I've just bought one of these and the wiring loom.

Before I fit it I would like to change the four bulbs to LEDs.

Does anyone have any links to LED replacements for these bulbs?

Hello,i am going to wire my w8 light fitting to my footwell lights and puddle lights using a connector soldered to the interior light as @Deaky done a while back. Just wondering what size wiring to use? Thanks

T6 van with a storage compartment near the light

What needs to be modified on the w8 for it to fit with the storage compartment?

If its the standard storage compartment, nothing... the light should fit in the same as the existing one. Then run the ambient light feed down the drivers a pillar and connect into the back of the light switch.

Seems the plug is up flat with the rear of the bin without the loom even attached

Not sure if you can rotate the plug, its been a few years since i fitted mine.

I do have the same light and same storage bin, so it is possible without anything additional required.

Update, I decided to solder directly to the light. Cut the surrounding plastic away, bent the pins slightly up as well and covered parts with abit of hot glue for support.
