VW T6.1 Instrument light dimming

Hi all might be a bit if a stupid question but does anyone have any idea on how to adjust the brightness of the instrument lighting on the dash of a T6.1 ? The T6 used to have a dimmer switch dial next to the headlight switch but our T6.1 doesn’t have this am I missing a trick here?

Not got the 6.1, but it is not in the menu on the instrument cluster? That`s where I`d try.

Not really. I will have a think and a look later. I know it dims and brightens auto due to ambient light but so does the T6.
There are a lot more settings moved to the MMI.
Will report back if i find anything different.

Amazing I didn’t think VW would be stupid enough to remove it all together thank you !

I question my own sanity on the instrument lighting ie is it me? ! So when headlights are on I get instrument lighting but on side lights no instrument lights. I have searched manuals and asked a dealer but no way can I get the instruments lit with sidelights on. Is it a fault or is the normal? I’ve been through the menu and can see the fader for dimming the display but nothing alters the instrumentation when on side lights. T6.1 Highline

Just checked and mines the same. I assume it’s because the sidelights would only be used for parking so less battery drain.

I have now learnt this is a safety feature to remind drivers to use headlights when it goes dark. Apparently common on lots of vehicles. Personally I don’t need this reminder and would like to see the instrumentation lit up
