Hi Team,

I'm a bit confused about my battery.

I currently have a 5TA 915 105 B Moll, but the battery is very low and seems like it will die in a few days.

I'm racing this week and need a replacement ASAP.

Can you help me identify a battery equivalent to the 5TA 915 105 B? I’m having trouble finding anything similar.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't have a carista to recode the battery. That's why I'm asking above. I was reading this topic last night.

you need to have any new battery coded in to reset the state of health of the battery that's store in the vans ECU.

any battery will work - but the van will assume its as knackered as the old one.

any battery place can code it in , , , ie Halfords etc.

If your up against it just get the new battery fitted and it will work, always get it coded if you can but its wont have any drastic downsides and the van will still work

Thank you all for help. The battery is fine after the test. Looks like the alternator is playing. Screenshot_20241011_120911_WhatsApp.jpg

The Moll battery has known issues, plenty of info on the forum. Many have been replaced by VW under warranty.
Coding helps, but isn’t a deal breaker, the van will “learn” that it has a new battery & adjust itself accordingly in a short period.
You can shoehorn a 95Ah battery into the battery space, this will give you more reserve cranking power. Highly recommended mod.
