Waeco fridge

Hi all,

Just wondered if a Waeco fridge is good for 24/7 use, hadn't considered it before but somebody queried it with me, asked if they are like normal fridges and can be run 24/7.

To be fair, I could bring the stuff in out of the fridge, I just tend to keep it running and have milk and butter in there. I have a solar panel on the roof and it runs off that, so not worried about draining the battery.

Cheers

We run one for 3 weeks at a time they're fine

cheers, have had it running for 4 weeks or so but wondered if ought to just be switched on when we head for overnight stays in the van.

Don't see why it should be a problem. The compressors are sturdy little Danfos units similar to many others used in domestic fridges.

Won't stop your milk turning to yoghurt though :D

I have used Waeco CR65 fridges in T5s for the past nine years in three different campers and toured in Europe for up to six weeks continuous use without problems except for the current installation which I believe has a thermostat problem which I am trying to resolve.

My next buy is going to be a solar panel so that I can (hopefully) leave the Waeco fridge on 24/7, especially when sat on the drive at home, without having to hook up. Does anyone do this?
