Wagner Charge cooler 2.0 TDi 150

Hi All

2017 150DSG 42k miles.

Got a bit of a mysterious water disappearance issue building, nothing urgent yet but looking for potential causes. I’m hoping it’s not the head, no condensation in the filler cap, yet!

If it’s the charge cooler which I understand isn’t uncommon then it’s EGR & charge cooler change time? I don’t wish to blank off the EGR at this point.

Looking at the threads I was wondering if anyone’s fitted one of these?

A sizeable chunk more than standard but as I’ve not had it mapped yet thought if I do have to change then this might be a good precursor to mapping?

going back to this. . .

if its the EGR cooler leaking then you need to replace it. ( it needs pressure/smoke testing to confirm)

£600-1K for a local indy to swap.

No, it's not on the list - the CAAC engine, which I assume was a T5.1 engine, went into the early 2016 T6s (like mine).
I just wondered how different the 140 engine was from the 150 (I know they look a bit visually different from the top) - but how different are parts like the EGR?

I put a complete EGR and cooler module on for less than £400 installed by an indy, which was sourcing the part from GSF and included a refund of £108 from returning the knackered unit.
