Want original stock suspension

Hello T6.1 fans.
I love mine but would like to get the suspension put back to stock. It is currently lowered by 40mm.
It’s a:
T6.1 Highline Kombi LWB BiTDi 199 T32 DSG 7 Speed
Does anyone want to swap or to sell me their original springs?
I have spoken to VW dealer and the ones I need are highlighted in the photos.
Thanks
Jackson

I have a full set of original VW shocks and springs for T6.1 T32 on the shelf here. They are from a van that has covered less than 1000 miles and are only a couple of months old.

I can supply the whole kit for you, or if you only need the springs I could supply just those.

Well done, Chris. I didn't suggest you because the original poster is from Brighton but you're not a million miles away!

I’ll give you a call to discuss. Much appreciated

Perhaps Jacksonhitt might consider fitting something similar to original fit in terms of spring rate length ect but instead take the opportunity to fit better quality parts. Something like Koni and what ever is considered better quality springs springs. The original fit parts are not known for either functional quality or longevity. :)

Check your metal recycle bin!!!
Nothing :fast rofl:

To be fair @Jacksonhitt , thinking about your post, that although the ride won’t be great on the 40mm lowering springs you currently have , you may find you don’t like the standard suspension just as much if not more, especially with a heavy camper conversion. We have many options available, that are proved to transform how a camper drives - maybe worth you coming up for a test drive to see for yourself. Just a thought.

im currently on stock T6 suspension (T32) looking for 40mm lowering springs. Just unsure of my exact spring model you referenced above
Based in Hampshire

The problem with using stock shocks with lowered springs is you'll only get say 50% use of the shocks as they'll sit half way down all the time. Hope this makes sense.
That's why you're better with shocks made to work with lowered springs.

would you recommend just going to coilovers from the off to cover that basis of having fully working shocks?

I can't say tbh. What I do know is that the factory suspension is pants when the van is empty but that might not apply to you if it's a conversion.
I lowered mine and widened the stance so it handles better on winding roads. Downside is it's not silky smooth on rougher roads.
I'd suggest speaking directly to the 2 specialists that have already responded. Tell them how you use the van. It'll cost you nothing and their advice is tried and tested here.

Thanks for the info, I've just started looking today so good to hear some ideas

I'm essentially empty apart from a bit of shelving and mountain bike in the back. So stock suspension is throwing me around

@BognorMotors i know i was looking at coilovers a while ago but learnt recently about lowering springs so any info would be much appreciated. Best way to knock out 40-50mm or so. My current 17inch wheels against stock suspension has a huge arch gap so would love to know the best and most efficient way to knock this out a bit

The stock suspension is best with weight on board, which is what it designed for - in a van!

Lowering springs are the budget option of getting where you want to be, but your shocks will be out of their comfort zone , and so will you driving it.

We have many options suspension wise which drastically improve your look and more importantly how your van drives. With our best seller- BMVS Edition Bilstein Coilovers we will make your van drive like a car - less roll, more control and more comfort. I can see you are fairly local - why not come over and have a go in one of our demo vehicles- our suspension sells itself :)
