Water coming out of sliding door

Hello all,
I’ve noticed a little water emerges from a little hole in what appears to be some sort of rubber blanking plate at the bottom of each of my sliding doors.
Can anybody suggest what’s occurring?

That's how it should work.

Attached to that plug is a tube which goes to a catch tank which surrounds the door handle. Any water that gets into the door through the handle is directed down the tube and out that hole at the bottom of the door.

If you have sliding windows, and any of the drains are broken it may also be catching water from them.

Thanks very much guys; I don’t have sliding windows but I am having safari windows fitted soon. Thanks for the explanation as to what it is, that’s put my mind at ease.
