Weird Windscreen Mist Issue. Dash part missing?

Since the weather has got colder I've noticed something weird on my van. When the van is cold and there is mist on the windscreen there is always a small area in the middle at the bottom that is clear, like air is blowing in or something is warm at that point. I had a look this morning and only thing I can see is there is a hole in the dash that looks like something maybe should be fitted there, am I missing something, any ideas?

Just hoiked mine out of the dash and it has a part number so VW should be able to supply one.

I’m working and I just took a 2 hour conference call in the van as the diesel heater has made it nice and toasty!

This is, Call My Bluff, obviously. Well it is very obviously from the evidence, a sub vent used for the purposes of delivering cooled dry air to the windscreen and the misting that you see is on the outside of the screen. Caused by condensing air that has descended below the dew point.

Something similar came from "Senior Management"..............."Thought you had a conference call..........stop playing with your van!"

However, parking heater, wifi, bed, peace and quiet..............this is starting to look attractive!
